Canary Update

First off, that bird started singing as soon as we got to the hotel Friday night.  *G*  The next morning, he started singing his little heart out as soon as the sun came up and hubby had cracked the curtains open so he could play on the laptop and not wake me.  We came back from breakfast at the hotel hearing the little guy singing away.  Then, we had only been on the interstate about 5 minutes to head home and he started again.  He sang all the way from Phoenix to Tucson, then got quiet for a while, then started again from Tucson most of the way home.  Got him to my in-laws that afternoon, and he was singing within the hour.

He's a very secure, happy little fellow, who has no qualms about singing wherever he goes, and my FIL already ADORES him.  :-)

Najah,

Just wanted to say (again) how impressed I was with your canaries today.  Good luck with "Birdie".  I hope he'll bring you as much joy as he brought us. I will definately keep you in mind if we are ever looking for another canary.

Take care!

Dear Najah,

I just wanted to let you know how much my husband loved his Christmas gift!  After I picked the canary up from you, I took him to my parents’ house to keep him until early Christmas morning.  I told my parents I wasn’t sure he would sing because he was in a new place.  Well, my mom had to call me a couple of hours later just to let me know that “we had a singer.”  She thought he sounded beautiful!

I picked the canary up from my parents’ home at 6:30 Christmas morning before my husband woke up.  Of course my dogs had to check him out and were very curious about him, but he did not seem to be very fearful of the dogs.  As soon as the sun started showing, the canary started singing.   It was really a joy listening to him!

When my husband finally woke up, I brought him into the front room to show him his Christmas gift.  He was very surprised and very happy!!  He has wanted a canary for a long time.  The canary (who has since been named Clarence) sings every morning after the sun comes up and continues singing off and on throughout the day.  He has a really beautiful song and we both love to hear him sing.

I just want to say thank you for making all of this possible.  We will do our best to care for Clarence the way you care for all of your canaries.

Thank you and have a wonderful and prosperous New Year.
